Frequently Asked Questions
What's the fastest way to request an ambulance?
In the event of any emergency, dial 911. You will speak with an emergency operator who is specifically trained to gather information and dispatch an ambulance in the quickest and most efficient way possible.
How can I help the ambulance squad?
Thank you for your interest in helping the squad! We are always looking for new volunteers to staff the ambulances or perform other non-operational duties. Click here for volunteer information.
We also accept monetary and item donations. As a 501(c)3 not-for-profit charitable community organization, the donations received from the community play a large role in keeping the squad running. Click here for donation information.
Why did I receive a bill?
Canandaigua Emergency Squad is a standalone 501(c)3, not-for-profit corporation. We do not received any support from the municipalities we serve, nor do we receive any funding from taxes. We have developed a brochure that helps to explain why we bill for our services.
